Behaviour - Zuma is a house cat but does occasionally have a wander around the garden but he is quite nervous and rarely goes beyond the back step but if he does, he only remains within the enclosed garden. He may enjoy a more outdoor lifestyle but this isn’t suitable at our house and we prefer to keep him in and supervise him outside at all times. When leaving the breeder, he had very little socialisation with people and it took him a while to become comfortable with human contact. He is now far more sociable and enjoys sitting with you but always on his terms. Zuma currently lives with another Bengal who is one year older and Zuma is a relentless bully to him. Zuma's owners have tried a number of socialising techniques to prevent this but although it has improved, he is still doing this hence why they have had to take this difficult decision. We would suggest he would be best in a one cat household. Zuma enjoys food and unlike many cats, will eat anything that is left out for him. He receives a measured amount of food on a daily basis to manage his weight and this has worked very well. He has never been destructive in any way.
Zuma also lives with a 7 yr old child and Zuma is very comfortable with him. Family members also have dogs and Zuma, once familiar with the dogs is also comfortable in their company.
