CAT INTAKE TEMPORARILY CLOSED

We are currently at full capacity for the number of cats we can help to rehome. The Club & Welfare is entirely run by volunteers, who also have full-time jobs.

Unfortunately, adopting out 14 cats requires significant time and resources from our volunteers and is far beyond our usual adoption rate, which typically takes a few months. As a result, we have reached our limit at this time.

Until we can reduce the number of cats on our waiting list for new homes, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to take in any new cats. Thank you for your understanding.

We would be more than happy to assist with the rehoming of your

Bengal or Bengal cross.

Re-home - Pedigree Bengal or Bengal cross.

Please complete this form in its entirety for each cat/kitten you have. The Bengal Cat Association is an online support or "middleman" between you and a new home, so you don't have to consider placing your cat in a high stress environment like a rescue shelter. We aim to advertise & help you find a suitable match for your cat. We ask that all cats are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date with flea and wormer. We have some homes waiting on our "match list" and want to be as honest as possible to not only you, but to those wanting to rehome a cat. So, we ask that you are as honest as you can when completing this questionnaire and if there is anything that your cat needs to be ready for a new home, please let us know. Please note that no remuneration will be offered. All monies / donations received from the new owner will be donated to the BCA with a percentage going to the BCA Annual Charity as voted by the BCA Team. We aim to be in touch with you as soon as we can.

If you need to give up your Bengal It doesn’t matter if you lose your job, have to move to a restricted location, develop an allergy, or suddenly fall ill; your breeder wants to know if you can no longer care for your animal. You probably signed a contract promising to bring the Kitten / Cat back if an issue arises. He or she will very likely take your cat back into the fold and care for them, including overseeing the next adoption, to ensure they’re cared for long-term, whether they’re six months old or 12 years old. Those who are genuinely dedicated to the breed will tell you that you should always call them first, no matter what your reason for needing to give up your Bengal. They respect the difficulty of your decision and will not judge you, and rehoming back to the breeder is a much safer choice than dropping your Bengal off at the local shelter, that’s if the shelter will even take them.

Breeders are usually more than happy to assist with the rehoming of a cat they bred.

Finally, we will also need a couple of good pictures, a copy of the pedigree if you have one and an honest accurate write up about the cat. Please include why you are rehoming and as much about any behaviour as possible, age, likes, quirks, traits etc, but try also to be positive and mention all the good points too. The cat will not be advertised until we have received all the above information, your contact details will not be published on any advert, but you will be contacted by our team when we have a potential owner interested, if you have not provided full contact details, we will not be able to get in touch with you. A location is also important as potential rehomers want to know roughly where in the country so they can decide if they are willing to travel that far. Please email this information separately including your name to bcacatclub@hotmail.com
